My Birria cravings were completely satisfied, only bad thing is I knowwww i'm going to relapse! SOON!
I was not expecting how good the tacos were.. I accidentally bumped into this place because I was around the area.... I loved them soooo much that I was compelled to write about it!
They had a variety of tacos, quesatacos, crispy tacos, tacos-tacos amongst other things! Flavors were spot on! I will defi itely be back -

Ok let's start with the parking, first off this place has no parking. Street parking only there's a liquor store across the street with a parking lot but the food truck has a homemade sign saying no parking at liquor with the drawing of a tow truck. I figured I wouldn't be there long and it's 8pm would a tow truck really be here that quick at this hour? I'm good. Well sure enough these people don't fuck around lol as I was waiting for my food I saw a tow truck pass by! Funny enough it looked exactly like their little drawing so I hurried to my car and moved it to a street spot down the street. Ok moving onto the service and food.
I knocked down another star due to their service, they're kind of slow...and as I was waiting to get my order taken I noticed the lady taking the orders was eating!!! Lol taking spoonfuls of food in between working food orders
Another star down because food here was not that great at all I'm very confused by the other 5 star reviews. The birria taco tostado was the only decent thing I had. The birria plate was horrible it was only scraps of meat with a lot of caldo to hide it with lots of fat and no flavor. Overall I wouldn't go through the trouble to get subpar food here again. -

You wanna yelp this place before you try? Okay. Here goes:
Everyone that gives a 5-star to this place is obviously a PAID SHILL for the truck, or are just so blinded by what is just simply OKAY FOOD that they LOVE getting abused as a customer. You should understand a rating entails service AND food.
{ FOOD }
Not going to lie, the quesadillas and other items are good. That's it. Good but not "OMG LETS GO ACROSS TOWN" good. Since everyone here likes to review based on food: there is no flavor at all. For me, it's the beans and possibly rice that give flavor to the burrito, and the cheese that gives flavor to the quesadilla. However, the MEAT and the SAUCE have NO FLAVOR. And for those loyal customers reading this, you know it's true.
There is a reason why this place has a B. It may taste OKAY but is definitely not FRESH. But most people that eat here would probably dig out of a trash so they dont mind. They also MICROWAVE their beans. For being this popular and "profitable" (I imagine since IT'S THE ONLY TACO STAND THAT CHARGES TAX) you'd think they have some kind of heater for the beans or have them fresh since they have a kitchen inside the building where the truck is parked?
Also, I will confirm what others say: they are STINGY with the sauce. Again, only taco stand that does this. Any other taco stand let's you grab your own sauce. As MUCH as you want. Not here though. The workers here act as if the sauce comes out of their WAGES or their VEINS. I ordered 6 tacos and I got ONE sauce.
Finally the price went up recently with absolutely no notice. Other places actually state why (ex: due to increase cost of operations, or state tax) but this place just did it and when asked, they say they dont know.
{ SERVICE }
Here is where it gets interesting. I am assuming this is a relatively new company so they have no concept of how to operate efficiently. They do everything MICKEY MOUSE. So what do they do wrong?
THE WAIT: they make you wait. You're the only person in line? Even if it takes 15 seconds to place your order, even if they're preparing the food of JUST ONE person and no one else is there, they get priority DESPITE THERE BEING MULTIPLE WORKERS. Where is the logic in that? But maybe I shouldnt expect much from food workers, there is a reason they work as one.
ORDER: as in first come first serve, DOES NOT EXIST HERE. You order a quesadilla and some jackass orders 4 tacos behind you, HE gets his order first. And guess what? If the guy AFTER him also ordered another 4 tacos, GUESS who gets his food first? HE DOES. 8 tacos down, no quesadilla. Totally adds up for me.
ATTITUDE: as many others have mentioned, they have an attitude. Normally I wouldn't care just as long as you get my food and do my bidding, but sometimes they just ignore you. You don't exist for them. Sometimes they'll glance at you and even if they noticed you moving your mouth they ignore you. I guess business is really good that they couldn't care less that you have an order or concern?
INACCURACY: As others say, sometimes they mess up orders or your change. A couple of times I've gotten the wrong quantity (ordered 3 tacos, got 6 and charged for the extra 3) or missing items, or items that I asked to be excluded and were still thrown in. Sometimes I will be missing change. This gives you an idea of the workers, either they are incredibly STUPID or just don't give a damn, or both. Also got charged for a drink even though I only picked it up to see what it was and I placed it back. And I am not trying to be extra, but I did get a hair once in my burrito but I did not want to return simply to avoid their service and more mediocre food.
{ Conclusion }
Again, some people take the abuse for their food (like the 5-star reviewers on here). They take it up you know where just as long as they get their food and satisfy their craving. Not me and neither should you. This place has gotten complaints that even corporate admits to and they do nothing. So again, if you are sucker for food, then continue being a sucker and take that abuse and keep coming here. Take it up there, way up there. Get your money taken too (because they are thieves as well). As for me, I will take my business elsewhere, where the sauce flows abundantly and there is such a thing as first come first serve, correct quantity/change, and some decent service. -

I've been looking for a good taco place around USC for a while and I'm glad I stumbled upon this place. First, DO NOT PARK AT THE LIQUOR STORE!! The parking situation was pretty bad, but luckily the worker notified me right before I got my car towed!! The worker was super nice and I looked pretty lost so he let me sample the meat; it was super juicy and tender. I got 2 tacos dorados and a cup of consome

I wish I knew about Birrieria Los Gonzalez sooner! The Birrieria they serve here is absolutely phenomenal!
This humble food truck, located on a small side street serves the most juicy and tender pieces of meat I've ever had. Make sure you carry enough cash, because you'll be sure to come back for seconds! They have a fairly simple menu, and only serve Birrieria that comes in all shapes and sizes!
I ordered a taco, mulita, and a consume. Then went for another taco cause I couldn't afford the quesadilla!
Just thinking about the food is making my mouth water! The Birrieria meat was so tender and full of flavor! The consume soup was also very delicious, it has a slight kick to it, but paired well with the meal! It was just the right balance of flavor and spice, and everything about the meal just made me very happy!
I enjoyed every last bite, and can't wait to come back for more!
